Q1 What inspired you to enter your field?
I didn’t find it; it found me. I was fortunate to be raised with a strong work ethic that has served me well. I also have always enjoyed challenges. My first job was with Waterfield Mortgage. Little did I know, that would shape my future. I was fortunate to work for an exceptional company that provided opportunities throughout my tenure. What I discovered was a passion for helping homeowners achieve their dreams and build their wealth.
Q2 What qualities do you think make a great leader, especially for women in business?
Great leaders lead by example, possess integrity, vision, organizational skills, decisiveness, adaptability and a curiosity to learn. Confidence and resilience are essential for anyone in business, regardless of gender. The best leaders prioritize the greater good, creating an environment where others feel empowered and valued. By listening, supporting and inspiring those around you, opportunities are created for individual growth, stronger teams and organizations to thrive.
Q3 How do you stay motivated and continue to grow professionally?
I carve time out of my schedule to support the mortgage industry from a regulatory standpoint. This is rewarding, knowing it makes a difference for the industry. I’m always looking for opportunities to learn, whether it’s through industry conferences, networking or mentorship. Surrounding myself with ambitious and passionate people also keeps me inspired. Setting both personal and professional goals gives me a clear sense of purpose and keeps me motivated. I am keenly aware that my decisions have a direct impact on others, which drives me to make thoughtful choices.
Q4 What has been the most pivotal moment in your career so far?
Starting my own company was a defining moment. Taking that leap required courage and determination, but it allowed me to build something that reflects my values and vision. Seeing the company grow and earn respect in the industry has been incredibly rewarding.
