Stepping into a Fleetwood RV® motor home is like stepping into a new world of travel comfort. For 2023, Fleetwood RV has further upped its game with the introduction of the Fleetwood Frontier GTX 37RT, a motorhome that gives work-at-home new meaning.

According to Doug Miller, product manager for REV Recreation Group’s Class A products, the company’s thinkers and doers came up with a new and unique floor plan that is perfect for business travelers who want to avoid hotels, and the hassle of packing their personal items and work supplies at every stop. “This new design would lend itself to someone like a traveling nurse or perhaps a family that is homeschooling.”

The new design takes an already generous floor plan and adds an option for a corner office.

“We added more room on the inside of the coach, which makes a big difference,” says Miller. By adding four to five feet at the back, designers divided the walk-in closet in the bedroom in half and designed an L-shaped desk with drawers and shelves, a 30 by 20- inch sidewall window and a built-in television monitor that can be used as an additional computer screen.

With the addition of barn doors on the closet/office area, travelers can have privacy for concentration or conference calls in the back of the motor home. “For a homeschooling family, one student can work in there while another works in the front of the motorhome. Basically, it creates extra space for more than one person to work,” Miller adds.

Fleetwood RV® has a long history of creating luxurious motorhomes for people who like spending weekends on the road to full-timers whose year-round lifestyle is on the move. The company began producing recreational vehicles in the 1950s and through more than 70 years of changing tastes in travel and housing has flourished.

Located throughout the U.S., REV Group@ companies are leading designers and manufacturers of specialty vehicles and related aftermarket parts and services. In addition to recreational vehicles, they manufacture ambulances, fire apparatus, school buses and transit buses, and terminal tractors.

REV Recreation Group produces Fleetwood RV®, Holiday Rambler®, American Coach®, Renegade RV®, Midwest Automotive Designs®, and Lance®.

The corner office is not the only feature that makes the 2023 Fleetwood RV motorhome unique. Like all of the Fleetwood RV® line, the vehicle is the electric version of a house, meaning there is no propane needed. The kitchen appliances are residential appliances with an 18.7 cubic foot refrigerator, convection/microwave oven and induction cooktop. “Just like your home,” Miller points out.

The motorhome has a hydronic heating system with continuous hot water available for heating and showers in the generous-sized 30 by 38-inch walk-in shower. There is also the option for a washer and dryer.

“Travelers can go off the grid with the eight-kilowatt generator and the convenience of large-capacity tanks for both wastewater and fresh water,” Miller continues. Another convenience is easy access to the bathroom during travel. “The pocket door to the lavy makes that possible.”

The front of the house features reclining captain’s chairs for the driver and passenger, a queen-size sleeper sofa, solid surface finishes in the kitchen and bathroom, glass tile kitchen backsplash and a stainless-steel farmhouse kitchen sink. Miller says  the décor package for the motorhome includes four finish choices for cabinetry. The motorhome also has a full flat floor with polished tile flooring and the master bedroom includes a king-size bed.

Available options include a drop-down loft bed with LED television, central vacuum system and a connectivity package that includes GPS, a 300-watt solar panel and a cell phone booster.

The motorhome is mounted on a Freightliner custom raised rail chassis with a Cummins 6.7L, 360 horsepower engine and a 100-gallon fuel tank. It also features an Allison 3000 Series six-speed transmission. In addition to four exterior graphics choices, there is full pass-through exterior storage and an exterior entertainment center with LED television.

Miller says the prototype for the new vehicle is slated to be ready in mid-July with appearances at America’s Largest RV Show Sept. 14-18 in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and at the open house for press and RV dealers in November in Elkhart, Indiana.

Also new this year is the 39TA that features an additional half bath. Although this model does not have the corner office option, it features an additional two feet of length meaning more space for relaxing and living the RV life.
