Even with summer in full swing, the legislative process never stops working at Greater Fort Wayne Inc. Our Legislative Council, the committee of business members that creates our legislative agenda, meets monthly to discuss local, state and federal issues that impact our businesses. As with all our government department work, we encourage our members to get involved!
If there is an issue you would like to see addressed in our 2014 Legislative Agenda, no matter which level of government, please submit the information pertaining to the issue to me (kstafford@fwchamber.org). We will take it before the Legislative Council for education and discussion. No issue is too small.
In the meantime, we encourage you to stay on top of issues by watching City and County government meetings, all available at AllenCounty.us and CityofFortWayne.org. At the state level, Interim Study Committees will be taking place throughout the summer and fall and information for those meetings can be found at IN.gov/Legislative. And signing up for email newsletters from our Federal Delegation keeps you informed on the issues Congress faces:
