Peg Perego Investing $4 million in Fort Wayne Plant

Investment in molds and tooling will bring 13 jobs to area

Peg Perego, a distributor and manufacturer of infant care products and juvenile toys, is investing $4 million in new equipment over the next four years in its Fort Wayne plant.

The investment in molds, tooling and other manufacturing equipment will bring a projected 13 new jobs to the city. The company currently employs 67 locally.

“Peg Perego has a long relationship of building quality products in Fort Wayne and that commitment is strengthened through this $4 million investment that demonstrates how Fort Wayne is a place where good jobs can grow, families can thrive and businesses prosper,” says Mayor Tom Henry.

Peg Perego filed an application with the City of Fort Wayne for an economic revitalization area designation and will be eligible for a property tax abatement. The company’s estimated property tax savings with an abatement is $254,496 and will be phased in over four years.

“We are pleased to expand our Fort Wayne operations,” says Lucio Perego, president. “This $4 million investment in equipment will result in improved product lines and more jobs for Fort Wayne."
