JCR Automation Inc. plans to purchase an existing building on 1426 Ryan Road in New Haven. The facility will be expanded to gain an additional 9,000 square feet for manufacturing and warehouse space. Its current location (at 15202 Edgerton Road) will relocate to the new site upon its completion. This relocation and expansion will add four full-time employees to its existing staff of 16.
JCR Automation is involved with various industries but focuses on its continuous process product line for the high-speed progressive die stamping industry. The company also has a solid reputation for custom automation, test equipment and vision system inspection integration. This recent investment will allow JCR Automation to increase its manufacturing capabilities.
“This investment will allow us to focus on making sure our products remain innovative and aid in our endeavor to be the leaders in our field of automation,” says Rick Johnson, president and general manager of JCR Automation Inc. “Our new facility will ensure we continue to grow and stay competitive.”
JCR Automation plans to invest $200,000 in the new facility and $300,000 in new equipment. JCR Automation could save approximately $15,013 while still paying over $37,471 in local property tax over five years.
“We are excited at the prospects of helping JCR Automation thrive and grow in Allen County,” says Allen County Commissioner Nelson Peters. “This type of investment helps us to diversify our employment base and allows for high-end technical jobs to be created in the community.”
