Tony Jasick, Head Men’s Basketball Coach at IPFW

Tony Jasick has been named the men’s basketball coach at IPFW. Jasick has been a member of the IPFW coaching staff for the past six seasons, the previous four as associate head coach.
The Whitehall, Mich., native has played a major role in the IPFW basketball program’s development that included an 18 win season in 2010-2011. Eight players have earned Summit League Player of the Week honors and 19 have garnered All-Summit League Academic honors during his time with the program.
Jasick began his career as a volunteer assistant at the University of North Alabama in the Gulf South Conference before moving to the coaching staff at Middle Tennessee State University. He was responsible for video coordination, player academic progress and community service projects.
During the 2003-2004 season, Jasick was on the coaching staff at Newberry College, where the Indians won 16 games, the best mark the school had seen since 1981-1982. The Indians appeared in the South Atlantic Conference championship game for the first time in school history that same season.
Jasick received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology Education from Mars Hill College in 2000. He then obtained his Master’s degree in Education from Lincoln Memorial University in 2002. Jasick and his wife Melissa have two daughters and reside in Fort Wayne.
