Cookie Cottage & U.S. 93.3 sponsor ‘Life is Sweet’ Blood Drive
Helping to save a life is a little sweeter during the American Red Cross’ Life is Sweet Blood Drive in February. Come to donate February 14th and 15th at the Fort Wayne and Lutheran Hospital Donor Centers and receive a Cookie Cottage cookie. You’ll also be entered to win one of three great prizes: two tickets to the Kenny Chesney & Tim McGraw concert on July 28th at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, a one hundred dollar gift certificate to Cork ‘N Cleaver with a one night stay in a suite at Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott of Fort Wayne, or a Cookie Cottage gift basket filled with delicious goodies. These prizes are sweet treats that could be shared with your loved ones after showing your love of life this Valentine’s Day by donating blood.
Concert tickets are compliments of U.S. 93.3. The Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw tour, 'Brothers of the Sun,' will be the first time in 10 years that Chesney and McGraw have hit the road together. The concert also features special guests Grace Potter & The Nocturnals and Jake Owen.
The Life is Sweet Blood Drive will take place at two convenient locations in Fort Wayne:
Fort Wayne Donor Center: (across from the Memorial Coliseum)
Tuesday, Feb. 14th & Wednesday, Feb. 15th: 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Lutheran Hospital Donor Center: (in the South Lobby of Lutheran Hospital)
Tuesday, Feb. 14th & Wednesday, Feb. 15th: noon – 6 p.m.
“Your Valentine’s Day donation, at the Life is Sweet Blood Drive, can help offset the slump in blood collections we typically see in the heart of winter,” said Sharyn Whitman, CEO for the Indiana-Ohio Blood Services Region of the American Red Cross. “Hospital patients need blood every day. Keeping donations steady and consistent can be hard when cold and snowy weather can affect your motivation to get out and give.”
